Elixir Theatre Company - Welcome
Elixir Theatre Company was founded in 2006 by Annalisa Gordon and Will Tosh, to produce exemplary theatre by and for young people. Elixir is dedicated to providing creative opportunities for exceptional young Londoners, and Annalisa and Will are thrilled to be at its helm.
Our first show was a contemporary and urban production of
Romeo and Juliet at Theatro Technis, Camden, in June and July 2007, which took a provocative approach to this classic but supremely relevant text. We are now proud to present our second production,
Three Hours After Marriage, a lost gem from John Gay, the author of The Beggar’s Opera, which shows at the
Union Theatre, Southwark, from 11 March – 5 April 2008.
Three Hours After Marriage is a delightful, bubbling farce with a side order of total absurdity. It’s a frothy confection with a black heart – and it takes a sharp, amoral look at contemporary mores.
